Linda Pluschke, 41, put flowers on her husband Mike Gerard’s beard during the beard contest hosted by KOPN, the Columbia local radio station, at Cafe Berlin on March 21. Gerard,53, participated because he is a fan of the station. “I don’t have the best beard. It’s a stiff contest. I came to support KOPN,” he said. It was the first time that KOPN hosted a beard contest.
